My top 5

Most of us probably don’t think of movies when it comes to wellness.  However, I beg to differ.  A good quality movie can be an enriching way to spend a few hours relaxing and taking in someone’s personal story or learning a deeper value of living.  Lately, I’ve been on an oldie but goodie movie kick.  I believe these “classics” have a quality that’s few and far between in today’s modern film industry.  The slow time afforded to build a character without the quickness of special effects can allow an emotional connection to be made without the sharp stimulation that follows immediate gratification.  I am left with a feeling of fulfillment and the takeaway?… good moral values and powerful life lessons learned.  Here are my top 5…

  1. The Bishop’s Wife (Cary Grant and Loretta Young)
  2. The Big Country (Gregory Peck and Carroll Baker)
  3. Sabrina (Audrey Hepburn and Humphrey Bogart)
  4. To Catch a Thief (Cary Grant and Grace Kelly)
  5. Roman Holiday (Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn)
